Dr Florian Viton is Head of Science & Technology at the Nestle R&D Center in Singapore. He is responsible for defining and executing the mid-term Science & Technology programs supporting the innovation agenda of several Nestle businesses, especially in Asia.
Dr Viton joined Nestle in 2006 as a flavor scientist at the Nestle Research Center, located in Lausanne, Switzerland. In this Research Center he has held scientific and managerial positions of increasing responsibility in Foods Flavor & Texture, and Consumer & Sensory Research, notably leading the Taste & Behavioral Sciences department. He moved to Singapore in 2016 into his current position. Florian holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Geneva, and completed post-doctorate fellowships in the United States and United Kingdom before starting his professional career in a Belgium-based startup. He holds more than 20 patents in various areas of strategic importance for Nestle.
